Swim with manatees, explore caves, see springs, visit the sponge capital of the world, eat traditional Indian food, touch stingrays, hold an alligator, feed a alligator, watch street performers (buskers),hand feed flamingos, find shark teeth, hand feed tarpon, leave your $ on a wall in more than 1 place, see southernmost spot of the continental united states, shop street vendors, snorkel, hold a parrot, hold a snake, feed a giant tortoise, see street art, catch a shark, go deep sea fishing, sunsets over the ocean, sunrises over the ocean, and you’ll see a couple forts.
This is a fast paced itinerary. If you like to see everything you can while on vacation this is for you. If you are looking for relaxing and sleeping in this is not going to be for you. Pier 60 is one of the best places to visit in Florida! There is so much to do here; you will be wanting to come back as soon as you leave! Once you get here you can stroll thru the stores. Then 2 hours before sunset and 2 hours after you can go watch the buskers and take a look at the vendors. They have bounce houses, blow up water slides and more. This is where you will want to park for the better part of the day. If you can’t park here that is fine you will be able to take the trolley here and park somewhere else. You can come check out Castillo de San Marcos National Monument then you can cross the street and you will be very close to a trolley ride or you can walk a couple blocks and get to St George St.
Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is the oldest masonry fort in the continental united states. You can pay to go thru or you can walk around the outside for free. Either way you won’t be let down. This is an awesome fort unlike any I have seen before. Read More
