Pier 60

Pier 60 located in Clearwater Beach is the perfect place for a whole day of fun or even just a night out, but whatever you do, don’t miss it! You can spend the day at the beach then enjoy an exciting night at the sunset celebration. Watch a variety of street performers and vendors, do a little shopping and see a free show. Grab dinner on the Pier, and even do some fishing. Pier 60 is definitely a favorite destination and needs to be on top of everyone’s Florida Bucket List!

Whimzeyland is located in Safety Harbor, 30 minutes away from Pier 60. This is a very unique house, with a yard full of one of a kind art forms. There is so much to see, and admire. Stop and check out this free art display.

Homestead Trolley to the National Parks

The Homestead Trolley to the National Parks is located in Homestead. You can get free parking in Homestead and use the train to get to the Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, and Homestead Bayfront Park. The trolley also makes a 20 minute stop at Robert is Here Fruit Stand. If your going to one of these parks take the free trolly!

Popcorn Flicks in the Park is located in Winter Park. You can grab a blanket some drinks and snacks and come watch a classic movie for free in the park. They play the movies the second Thursday of each Month.

Tin City Mart in Naples is a small unique shopping area. With tin roofs the shops are one of a kind. You can get dinner on the water after your done shopping. This is a cool one of a kind shopping area. If you like small shops and the small town feel this is a must do. Add Tin City Mart to your Florida Bucket List!

St.Pete Pier

St. Pete Pier is located in St. Petersburg. Grab a drink and walk along the pier and watch buskers showing their skill or stop and let the kids play at the playground. Get the the end and take a look at the view as you grab a snack or you can sit down to a nice meal. There is also shopping in the area and they also have events. This is a great spot to check out while in the St. Pete area.

Robert Is Here Fruit Stand

Robert is Here Fruit Stand is located in Homestead. If you are looking for a great place to go this is it. Not only is this a fruit stand it is also a petting zoo with a kids playground! They have exotic fruits and also your everyday produce. Did I mention their milk shakes and smoothies? This is a all in one. They even have live music on the weekends. If you love unique places this is a must add to your Florida Bucket List!

Robbie’s

Robbie’s is located in Islamorada. This is a must do if you are driving through the Keys. This should be on everyone’s Florida Bucket List! They have jet skis, paddle boards, and a ton of other water things to do ( These you have to pay extra for). They have shopping at a few unique little shops. What makes Robbie’s a Florida Keys staple is hand feeding the tarpon off the dock ( you also have to pay a small amount for the food and to go on the dock)! Do you have the guts? Even if you just come watch others feed the tarpon it’s still awesome!

Duval Street

Duval Street located in Key West is voted one of the 5 most popular streets in Florida. If you come to Key West, for anything really you will probably find yourself on Duval Street. As one of our Florida Bucket List destinations, here you will find bars, restaurants, and a ton of small shops and street vendors too.

Florida Botanical Gardens

Florida Botanical Gardens is located in Largo. This is a free 100 acre Botanical Garden filled with beautiful plant life. The hours are 7am till 5 pm so there is plenty of time to come enjoy. It takes about a hour to walk through. Come see the different types of plants of Florida all in one spot for free!

Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts

Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts is located in Eatonville. Zora Neale was born on January, 7th 1891. She was a writer and an anthropologist. If you like black history this is a great stop. Hours are Monday thru Friday 11am till 2pm. This is free but they do accept donations. This is also less than 15 minutes from Orlando.

Spook Hill

Spook hill is located in Lake Wales. This is an illusion hill where you stop and take your foot off the brake and it appears as if you roll up the hill. Located less than 30 minutes from Haines City this is a cool little stop to check out. This is now on the National Register of Historic places. If you love odd things you will need to check this out and if you have kids this is a definite must do!

Perez Art Museum

Perez Art Museum is located in Miami. This is a contemporary art museum. Admission is free every second Saturday of the month. You must reserve your tickets online. If you like interactive art this is the stop for you.

Daytona Flea Market

Daytona Flea Market is located in Daytona Beach. This is one of Florida’s best flea markets. Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9am till 5pm. Not only does this flea market have a ton of vendors and was voted one of the best it also has a classic car show the 1st Saturday of every month from 9am till 1pm. So if you want check out a great flea market and a car show this is the stop.

Winter Park History Museum

Winter Park History Museum is located in Winter Park. This small museum shows the history of Winter Park, Florida and hosts several events. This is a great stop if you are in the area.

The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art

The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art is located in Winter Park. The museum is free every Fridays from 4pm-8pm. Other times admission is just a small fee. This museum shows the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany. You can see jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass lamps, and more. You can also visit the gift shop. If you are near Winter Park you should come see the beautiful art pieces.

Fort Christmas Historical Park

Fort Christmas Historical Parks is located in Christmas. This is a 175 acre historical park where you can see a replica of a fort built in 1837. There is a schoolhouse and sugarcane mill also plus more. The hours in the summer are 8am-8pm and in the winter they are 8am-6pm. The historic buildings are open from 9am-4pm. If you are in the area and like to take a look back in history this is the perfect stop.

Wolfsonian

Wolfsonian is located in Miami. The museum offers free admission to members, Florida residents, visitors with disabilities and their caregivers, kids under 6, and every Friday from 6pm-9pm. This is a great art museum in a great destination.

Dunlawton Sugar Mill Garden

Dunlawton Sugar Mill Garden is located in Port Orange. This is not only a 10 acre botanical garden it is also a Historical site. The site is open from 8am till 5 pm. You can also leave your mark here by purchasing a brick. This is free but they do accept donations. If your in the area this is a nice little stop.

Hindu Temple of Florida

The Hindu Temple of Florida is located in Tampa. You can get a free Temple tour. 12 and older must dress modestly with your shoulders covered and your knees covered, no shorts. You can also go buy lunch at the canteen and try some authentic Indian food. If you are near Tampa this is a cool experience.

Holocaust Memorial

Reflect at the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach. Open from 9:30am till sunset everyday. If you like history this is a must. A reminder of the 6 million Jewish people that lost their lives between 1933 and 1945. While in Miami take the time to visit the Holocaust Memorial.

Mallory Square

Mallory Square is located in Key West. If you are coming to the keys you will probably end up at Mallory Square. Make sure you get here to see the sunset celebration and all of the street performers, vendors, and artist that come out to show you their skill. You can get dinner at the El Meson De Pepe’s Restaurant & Bar, that is right on the edge of Mallory Square. For a great night out with kids or just the adults make sure you check out Mallory Square. This is a must do on my Florida Bucket List.

CityArts

CityArts is located in Orlando. If you love art this is the perfect place for you. Free and with multiple floor this place is filled with art. The 3rd Thursday of the month is also the Gallery Hop from 6pm-9pm. Check out CityArts on your road trip to Orlando.

Town of Murals in Lake Placid

Town of Murals is located in Lake Placid. If you love street art this is the place to go. They have 60 murals painted on the neighborhood buildings.

Manatee Viewing Center

The Manatee Viewing Center located in Apollo Beach. The Florida Electric Company is proud to provide free admission and parking. Of course you can come see the manatees in the winter and see the butterfly gardens too. You can also walk the trails and look out from the 50 foot observation tower. Stop and touch the stingrays in the stingray pool on your way to the boardwalk to see the manatees. There are selfie spots and also a gift shop. This is a must do on my Florida Bucket List.

Caspersen Beach

Caspersen Beach is located in Venice. Just 45 minutes south of Sarasota. If you love to look for beach treasures this is the beach for you. This is one of the best beaches to find shark teeth in Florida and that’s why it’s on our Florida Bucket List. So grab your sifters and sunscreen and come find some teeth!

Watch a Rocket Launch From the Kennedy Space Center

You can watch a rocket launch from a lot of places in Florida. They launch the rockets from the Kennedy Space Center so the closer you get the better you can see, but if you are not close and there is a launch going off just take a look in that direction and you will be surprised how well you can actually see it.

Friends of the Bandshell at Daytona Beach offers free concerts. Check out their events calendar. There is also shopping and of course the beach is right there.

Old Town

Old Town is located in Kissimmee. They have car shows, restaurants, bars, and cool little shops. You can take a spin on the Ferris Wheel. They also have a Ninja Course and an Escape Room. With so much to do you could spend all day here, with or without kids.

Rollins Museum of Art

Rollins Museum of Art is located in Winter Park. Enjoy free entrance to the museum thanks to the RMA members. Along with the art they also have a shop you can check out.

Key West Garden Club at West Martello Tower

Key West Garden Club at West Martello Tower is located in Key West. Getting on the National Register of Historic Places on June 24th 1976. Grab a picnic lunch and come relax at the tropical gardens next to the ocean. They also have a butterfly garden for you to check out in addition to the Fort.

Museum of Florida History

The Museum of Florida History is located in Tallahassee. This Museum has been accredited by the American Alliance of Museums since 1986. This museum is all about Florida History with award winning exhibit designs. A gallery that is 27,000 square feet is a must see and it being free makes it even better.

Cummer Museum & Gardens

The Cummer Museum and Gardens is located in Jacksonville. Art lovers need to come to this all in one art museum. Grab a bite to eat at the café and enjoy it inside the café, on the patio, or even in the garden. They also host several events. The Museum is free every Tuesday and Friday from 4pm tp 9pm. It’s also free the 1st Saturday of each month from 11am to 4pm. Free for SNAP, EBT and WIC card holder, it’s also free the 1st full weekend of the month for Bank of America and Merrill Lynch card holders.

Wynwood Art District

Wynwood Art District is located in Miami. If you love street art and great vibes this is a must do. If you don’t like street art and good vibes maybe you should go make sure this is not for you :). This is just a great area to walk around and see unique things. There are restaurants and museums in the area also.

Southernmost Point in the US

The Southernmost Point in the US is located in Key West. If you are in Key West then you must get a selfie at the Southernmost Point in the US. If you not a selfie type person at least grab a photo. This is a must see, and a short ride from Mallory Square.

The Teco Streetcar Is Located in Tampa. This is a great way to get around Tampa. If you are just coming to explore Tampa this will drop you off and you can hop back on when you’re ready. This can help reduce your parking costs by only having to park once, and it’s super fun.

The Miami Dade College Museum of Art and Design

The Miami Dade College Museum of Art and Design is located in Miami. They offer guided and self guided tours. The museum is free every Sunday and every Thursday from 4pm to 8pm.

Wakodahatchee Wetlands is located in Delray Beach. This is a nature area that you can enjoy bird watching with more than 178 species spotted here. You can walk along the boardwalk and sit at the benches or gazebos. You can see alligators and turtles and more. This is a great place to go for a nature walk and just enjoy your time.

They have boardwalks over wetlands and an observation platform you can look out from. There are also benches along the trail. If you keep an eye out you might even see a gopher tortoise.

Sunshine Flea Market is located in West Palm Beach. More than just a flea market this has a ton for the kids. Including live pony rides the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 1 to 4pm. There is so much more than shopping here. If you are shopping you will find clothing, collectibles, jewelry, and more. Did I mention this flea market is open Wednesday thru Sunday from 10am to 7pm and its air conditioned!
