Virginia Safari Park is located in Natural Bridge, Virginia. If you love crazy animals then you must come here! This place will have you laughing the whole time! Don’t forget to make a of whoever you bring so you can laugh later. A is perfect but just your phone will do. This will not be another forgotten stop.  This should be on your Virginia Bucket List. The park is only open seasonally, so if your coming in winter or on the edge make sure they are open. They close at the end  November and open in March.

Drive Thru the Virginia Safari Park

This is Virginia’s only Drive thru Safari. Come drive 3 miles on a gravel road in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah Valley. The road is well maintained and you will see many different species of animals including zebras, deer, scottish highland cattle, huge bull elk, llamas,and ostrich. Once you pay you can drive thru as many times as you want and you can get a pass to come in all day if you chose to leave and come back.

The walk thru park is 10 acres and home to Africa’s rarest cat the King Cheetah. Virginia is the only park in the United States that you can see these guys at. They also have Bengal Tigers, Cheetahs, African Penguins, and Kangaroos. There is also a petting area where you can feed and pet your favorite farm friends. You can go into the bird area where if you buy food you might get lucky enough to get on to land on your hand. You can and should also feed a giraffe out of your hand. This is a wheelchair accessible ramp to get to the giraffe.

They also have featured animals and they are Rhino, Sloth, Giant anteater, King Cheetah, and Giraffes. These are some amazing animals.

This is the perfect place to bring your kids, your parents, or other half, or just go solo, It’s the perfect place for anyone. You don’t have to buy food to feed the animals but you should to enhance your experience with the animals.
