Mount Dora

Near the heart of central Florida, is Mount Dora small quaint town. Take a stool and check out the antique shops, outdoor cafes, and historic downtown. If you are exploring Mount Dora on a Friday evening you may be lucky enough to enjoy some live music. Sundays you can stroll to the market for some local produce, meat and cheeses. There is a 4,500 acre lake by the chain of lakes near lake Dora. There is plenty of great eats and treats, and this is just a great town to relax, and enjoy small town wonders!

Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach is more than its 6 miles of sandy beaches; it also offers, 34 acres of nature trails at Lori Wilson Park, a playground, and a dog playground. There is an awesome Dinosaur Store, public library, skate park, and aquatic center. Enjoy the ocean by swimming, fishing or kayaking. Go shopping at the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop while you visit Cocoa Beach; a one stop spot for fun and sun!

Clearwater Beach

Pick a cabana and the attendants will come around and take care of you. Pier 60 has a playground so the kids can play off some energy when they tire of the water and sand! For a more quiet beach time – pick the North side. Take a dolphin cruise, visit the marine aquarium- which is actually a rehabilitation center. Parasail – kayak! Enjoy life in the sun – get some natural vitamin D!

Anna Maria Island

Parasail, rent a corvette, (top down, wind in hair, sunglasses on…oh yea!) visit one of the 6 beaches or all, should you so desire. Bike the island, take a dolphin tour, build your own donut! AGAIN – build your own donut – and eat it while cruising in your Vette on your way to the beach! Anna Maria Island is also a great place for the frugal minded people as there is much to do here for free or cheap. Simplicity and fun at its finest!

Key West

Bike, take a sunset sail, kayak, snorkel, view sharks and other wildlife. Check out the National Marine Sanctuary. What more to say? Its Key West! Its sun, its fun, its fishing, boating, eating, strolling! Its the sun on your shoulders while you live your best life! Enjoy paradise in Key West!

Saint Augustine

Take a trolley tour, take a ghost tour. Visit museums and fabulous resale shops. I got some great vinyl’s down here. Check out the lighthouse and Fountain of Youth. There is much to do here and one of my personal favorites was simply strolling the streets and photographing the amazing architecture. A historic town the buildings here are amazing! Be sure to look at the detail in the sidewalks and retaining walls. Its just a great town to adventure, eat chocolate, (there is a great little chocolate shop) and enjoy some bargain shopping. One of my favorite towns to haunt!

Daytona Beach

Take a paddleboard dolphin tour, take a manatee kayak tour, rent a segway and tour the beach. Zipline through Tuscawilla Park. Scour the beach for trinkets, salt up your skin in the ocean- lay down for a tan and watch people strolling past! Florida is a perfect road trip destination and Daytona Beach will NOT dissapoint.

Venice Beach

For a remote and rugged beach – go to Casperson Beach. This is the shore to find gems. Shark teeth, rocks, starfish – ocean beauty’s! For a more lively beach – check out Venice Beach. On the right night you can hear live music, and you may even see some yoga going on! Check out the vintage car collection, bird watch and be sure to visit Snook Haven Park – a riverfront restaurant park. There’s fun for everyone, everyday in Florida! Road trip your way here, stop and have a blast, making some memories!

Miami Beach

Take a sunset cruise, adventure on a airboat everglades ride and see some wild, wild life! Rent a Segway, (I have GOT to do this!) and visit the Kennedy Space Center. A great place to visit while road tripping in sunny Florida!

A spiritual community, enjoy the 7 parks, meditate, get an appointment with a psychic. This is the Psychic capitol of the WORLD! This is veered mostly for adults but children are not unwelcome. Relax and get in touch with yourself while catching some rays on your Florida road trip!
