Fort Michilimackinac bring history to life at this 18th-century fort and fur trading village; in Mackinaw City, Michigan. This historic site is a great addition to your road trip itinerary.

As you walk through the village you are stepping back in time to 1779, during the American Revolutionary War. All 16 buildings in Fort Michilimackinac have been restored and furnished with period settings. Historical interpreters represent voyageurs, soldiers, and merchants, who answer questions and perform demonstrations.
