Situated in the vibrant coastal city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, the Virginia Beach Boardwalk stands as an iconic and unique destination that is unequivocally worth a stop. Stretching along the sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean, this expansive boardwalk offers a quintessential beachfront experience with a myriad of attractions. Lined with a diverse array of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options, the boardwalk becomes a lively hub of activity. What sets it apart is the distinct combination of breathtaking ocean views, a lively atmosphere, and a multitude of recreational opportunities. Whether you’re strolling along the boardwalk, enjoying the eclectic street performers, or taking in the fresh sea breeze, the Virginia Beach Boardwalk provides a dynamic and memorable seaside experience. With its unique charm, diverse offerings, and the soothing sound of crashing waves, it has become a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment by the beautiful Atlantic coastline.
They have four oceanfront stages located at 7th, 17th, 24th, and 31st streets. You’ll have to keep an eye out for them as they’ll be captivating audiences to show you a good time. Nightly musical acts take place during the summer months, featuring four different performances each night. With such variety, you’ll want to stay for more than one night to catch them all! These acts are truly spectacular, as the performers are seasoned entertainers who know how to captivate a crowd. This is the main reason why Virginia Beach is a must-visit on my Virginia Bucket List. I love the vibrant energy that the street performers bring to the area. Be sure to snap plenty of photos and record some acts to share with those who couldn’t make it. Virginia Beach’s busking scene rivals the likes of Mallory Square and Pier 60. These performances are suitable for both kids and adults, making it a fantastic experience for the whole family.
Virginia Beach stretches along the Boardwalk, offering incredible waves and breathtaking sunrises that are great for the soul. Arrive early to secure the best spot and make a day of it! Don’t forget to pack essentials like an umbrella or tent, cooler, snacks, water, beach towel, reef-safe and waterproof sunscreen, sunglasses, sandcastle toys for the kids, sandcastle kits for adults, chairs, and perhaps a beach cart to transport everything easily. Personally, I swear by beach carts – they make hauling your belongings a breeze. Plus, there are conveniently located along the beachfront. Come and enjoy a perfect day at the beach!
While your walking along the boardwalk you will find a bunch of little shops. , Bahana Mia, Surf Shop, Bargain Beachwear, Virginia Beach Harley Davidson clothing store, Sunsations, Karma- skateboard shop, and custom city-a custom t-shirt shop. So many more small shops. Take your time and enjoy the area. Maybe even rent a bike to get around faster. There is also a fare share of restaurants.
