Welcome to New York
Everyone pictures the skyline, but New York City is less than one percent of New York State — the rest is a nature powerhouse most people never see. This is the only state that touches both the Atlantic Ocean and a Great Lake, with three mountain ranges in between. On the western edge, Niagara Falls thunders with more than 3,000 tons of water pouring over every second. To the north, the Adirondack Park spreads across six million acres, bigger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the Grand Canyon combined. The Finger Lakes region pours out world-class wine and hides more than 150 waterfalls around Ithaca alone, some taller than Niagara. And up in the St. Lawrence River sit the Thousand Islands, which actually number more than 1,800. Below you will find every New York map, trip, guide, and hidden gem we have.
