Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts is located in Eatonville, Florida. Eatonville is a historically significant town because it is one of the first all-Black municipalities in the United States, and Zora Neale Hurston, the celebrated author and anthropologist, grew up there. Zora Neale was born on January, 7th 1891. She was a writer and an anthropologist. If you’re interested in Black history, this is a great stop. The museum’s hours are Monday through Friday from 11 am to 2 pm, and admission is free, though they do accept donations. It’s also less than 15 minutes from Orlando.
