Gold King Mine & Ghost Town is located in Jerome, Arizona, and is less than 30 miles from Sedona. This town is so full of history and awesome scenery that you will be amazed the whole time you’re here.

You will see dilapidated buildings and more than 150 old cars, trucks, and motorcycles. You will want to bring your camera and maybe even a Polaroid to get that old-time feel. You could even dress up in the old-time clothing and get some really great photos.

This is now considered a Ghost Town. You will be able to see the old mine and mining equipment that will take you back in time, allowing you to imagine how it was to be mining here. The area was mined from 1890 until 1914. It used to be the largest producer of copper, gold, and silver. You can even pan for gold during your visit now and experience a little of how it would have been back in the day.

You will also be able to see the Stamp Mill used for crushing ore, a working sawmill, a blacksmith shop, and even a petting zoo. The only regret you’ll have here is if you forget your camera. So, come check it out, take some pictures, and enjoy your time as you relive the good old days.
