___Less than 25 minutes off I-75 in Elmira, Michigan is Deadman’s Hill . This is where all the locals go to see the fall colors (usually the 2-4th week in October is the prime time). Also a dog friendly spot to stop on your Northern Michigan Road Trip. Stop at Picturesque Deadman’s Hill for a perfect photo-op as it overlooks the Jordan Valley. Let the dogs and kids run while you stretch your legs on a 3 mile hiking trail and enjoy wildflowers and nature.
___This beautiful spot is home to a horrible story. Posted at the top of the hill is a sign that tells the tale of the logging days. At the top of the overlook stop and read of this tale as you enjoy the beautiful view. After you’ve seen Deadman’s Hill Overlook take a drive through the Jordan River Scenic Route!
Loved going and seeing all the colors in the fall as a kid and now i love taking my kids here. fall colors are great here
