Sliding Rock located in the Pisgah Forest in North Carolina. If you are looking for amazing water fun. This is a natural 60 foot waterfall that ends in a 8 foot deep pool.
How awesome is it to be able to slide down a rock into a natural pool. The water is usually hmmm COLD so if you go on a warm or hot day that is best.
Open 365 days a year with restrooms open April-October. Life Guards are there everyday they have staff May 2nd -September 15th. When they do not have staff the restrooms are not open and there is no lifeguard. This is a weather and water level permitting. Most people spend about 1 or 2 hours here. The price per person is $5. With the price so low you can bring the whole family without breaking the bank. You can also rent a personal floatation device if desired. You don’t need one tho. There is no alcohol and no picnicking allowed. If you would like there are nearby areas where you can picnic. Come and go down the slide into the big pool. Or if that’s not your speed you can just watch on the side lines on one of the 2 observation platforms. This is a must do on your North Carolina Bucket List.
